Coming to terms...

with being a bargain hunter... :)

As someone who shopped at thrift stores growing up, and is married to a guy who never hesitates to ask for a better deal, we have our share of "finds"...

Every year our church hosts a huge garage sale that benefits the trips "we" take to Guatemala. The past two years Mark and I have gone with our church small group to help organize. Well you can't help but find things while you're organizing, now can you?

A few of our treasures from last night:

A pair of earrings for me:

A set of four decorative plates; one for each season:

A large size Granite Ware canner, with canner rack (brand new shape, still has part of the label on it):

A CB radio for Mark's fun rig (apparently a good brand, we'll see if it works):

We also got a wooden dryer rack (looks like Fido may have spent some quality time with a couple of the legs), a roaster rack (the kind you stick your meat on then put in a roasting pan) and some large metal things (you'll have to ask Mark :) - I think they're going to go on his bumper (?)).

Total cost: $9.00

Mark decided not to haggle.

P.S. Forgot the flour sifter.
