Joy

This picture isn't brand-new (taken in October), but for some reason it slipped my notice until Mark pulled it out of the (figurative) stack and did a little basic editing.

Now I can't get enough of it.

The kid just looks so happy, doesn't he???

One more time, if that's ok...

Say it with me- aaaawwwwwwwwwww.............

Christmas Tree Fun

We (Mark, his parents, Calen and myself) had a blast on Saturday getting our tree. It was oh-so-very cold out, but beautiful and clear. We drove far up in the hills on service roads (I think - maybe forest service or power company), and then tramped around a clearing looking for our trees. The snow was covered with a layer of flaky pieces of ice.

There was also a spot ice crystals had formed where someone had left a bootprint.

Calen was more than happy to help cut the trees down.

After all his hard labor he refreshed himself with a piece of snow.

Unfortunately none of the pictures I took of the actual decorating of the tree turned out, so these post-decorating pictures will have to suffice.

neat giveaway!

Oops.

I know, I know. I apparently have the time to change my blog background, but not enough time to actually post an update in the entire month of November. Oops.

Unfortunately part of the problem is that I rarely post without pictures, and our camera batteries are dead (and have been for a while) and I haven't the slightest clue where the charger is. Double oops.

On a bright note we're somewhat close to being done with Christmas shopping, we had a great time in WA visiting my family over Thanksgiving (no pictures of course, though!), and we all three have come down with a cold bug!

We get to go get our tree(s) on Saturday. We've decided it would be a good idea to get two of them - one for the living room, and one for Mark and my bedroom. :) Just because we can.

I will try to find a way to take pictures of our tree hunting trip, to avoid a triple oops.
