Amazingly enough there's really a place called Newport News. It's a town in Virginia...just in case you were curious. This post however is not about anything in Virginia.
Matt and Angela were in town for the Holiday season so the five of us took a couple days and mozied on out to Newport, Oregon (just in case you were confused). While there we wandered around the coast taking in the sights and shop.
Not being a reader (this is Mark writing by the way), but a big fan of watching movies, this picture of Calen couldn't help but remind me of the centaurs from the Lord of the Rings movies. In case you aren't tracking with my Rube Goldberg way of thinking here's a visual aid.
Amy made the wise move of picking up a set of boots for Calen as well. He seems to have an uncanny ability to fill whatever shoes he's wearing with whatever may be on the ground. These helped.
