too busy...

lately i haven't made the time to work on this. it seems that by the time i get calen home after work, i barely have time to get our things put away before he's ready to head for bed. after that i have to get dinner ready (if i haven't prepped ahead of time), and by the time we're fed and the kitchen is cleaned, i'm ready to head for bed myself.

oh, well.

but enough complaining. not much new is happening around here. mark and his friend calen (why does that name sound familiar???) are going to be driving down to N California this afternoon to hang out with some other friends for the weekend, so little calen and i will have the house to ourselves. hopefully i will be able to get some much needed time to work on "stuff". i'm feeling the crunch of christmas already - i'd like to get started on lists, if not gifts and shopping. i'm realizing how much harder it is getting gifts for family members when you no longer live near them - people change in big and little ways and it's difficult to realize that when you don't see them!

i've definitely realized the helpfulness of christmas lists, that's for sure. :)
