for those who can't remember/never got the details, calen david lotspeich was born at 9:48 pm on july 12, 2008. he was 21" and 6 lb 15 oz. at birth, but now, at 8 weeks, he weighs in at approximately 12 1/2 lbs. current length is unknown - he doesn't hold still well enough! he continues to keep mommy up and tired, as he doesn't often sleep longer than 2 hours at a stretch. so far his best night he slept 5 hours for the first bit, but only 1 1/2 -2 hours for the rest of the night. needless to say, we nap together! at least when he's willing to nap. sometimes he only takes one a day, and not a long one at that.
right now i am learning to prioritize - feeding mark and myself is important, vacuuming the house is not. just don't look at my carpets, closely or otherwise. on a brighter note, since i rarely have the opportunity to use the bathroom, the toilets don't need cleaning very often!
once i figure out how to work this thing i'll try to get more pictures up.
ok, here we go. this first one is from the "photo shoot" we did when he was a month old. mark took the picture and did the editing.
mark took this picture at eagle rock campground. we went camping for the weekend as a family; calen is five weeks old here.
this picture i took for mark's (great) "auntie barb" - the blanket and onesie were both gifts from her.
